I recently traveled to Las Vegas to attend CES (Consumer Electronics Show) for the first time. It was an enlightening experience where I learned about innovations in new technology and met many interesting people!
Initially, I was uncertain about how advanced technology could enhance the health field, given my hands-on nursing practice spanning over 30 years. However, I soon realized the potential for technology to elevate healthcare practices.
One example is the Coroyawa mat (Shinobi in English), which significantly reduces fall fractures, enhancing both patient and staff safety. Another fascinating innovation I discovered was a powered wheelchair. By integrating a motor, it eases the effort needed to assist someone in a wheelchair, addressing the challenge of heavy loads.
While robots often dominate the spotlight in advanced technology, countless smaller innovations are improving healthcare practices. Moreover, AI is a key player. Panasonic showcased its AI development in facilitating family conversations, illustrating how AI can inspire new ways of thinking.
While I am still navigating this technological landscape, I see great promise and eagerly look forward to delving deeper into these innovations.
