Careers
Nikoniko Home Care is looking for care aides and helpers to join our expanding team. We offer flexible working hours, location and possibly a work visa. Please contact us for more information.
Your sincerity, respect, and compassion are invaluable skills. So, wouldn’t it be great if you could apply these skills to creating a society where the elderly can live healthy, happy, and fulfilled lives?
Nikoniko Home Care values the Japanese way of caring for seniors. Indeed it is enriching. You could use your Japanese and smile to support the elderly, and, in return, they greatly appreciate you. Nikoniko respects each caregiver’s lifestyle and offers flexible working hours. Moreover, we provide a reliable orientation and ongoing training. As a result, so many people with no experience in elderly care are working here with confidence.

Here's what's great about Nikoniko
Our nikoniko caregivers originally come from different professions and some have no experience in elderly care. We provide proper training for them so that they can work with ease and confidence.
Although we need basic English for daily conversation, a lot of our clients speak Japanese. So, your Japanese and smile are the advantage in most cases.
We are also happy to work with people holding a working holiday visa. However, they must have permission to work in the health sector with a medical examination. It should be written on the visa.
We subsidize transport fees for those working 30 hours a week as a full time. You can use both your car or public transport.
What our helpers have to say about starting with no experiences
Mrs M experiencing the" joys of care".
I had no experience in caring for someone, so I was worried and somehow confused at first, but when I joined the company, supervisors trained me in every detail of the job and how to handle it. Even when I was at a client’s home, if I had any problems or didn’t understand something, I could call my supervisors and ask for help. We have a great team of people who are always willing to help. It’s a very supportive environment to work in, and we are able to share information with other staff on some occasions. It’s a very responsible job and sometimes hard work, but I love it when clients say thank you.

An invitation to the Nikoniko Experience
Why don’t you come and visit us first at our “Brain Exercise Class”? This class improves memory and prevents dementia in the community. It started in 2018 as a part of our health education program at Nikoniko Home Care and created a non-profit organization, West Coast Healthy Memory Society. We held the classes in Metrotown, Surrey, and Vancouver. Currently, we continue the program online. You could experience the Nikoniko sprits with your fellow workers and clients. If you would like to visit us, please feel free to contact us.
